The short version. Demofida explains finance in general. It is not a financial adviser, bank, broker or exchange, it gives no financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it never holds anyone’s money or keys.

What Demofida Is

Demofida is software that explains how money works in plain words: rates, fees and interest, how markets work, how crypto and decentralized finance work, and the warning signs of a scam. Demofida is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, financial planner, exchange or money transmitter. It does not offer accounts, loans, investments, tokens or wallets, and it does not hold, move or manage anyone’s money or keys.

About Fida

Fida, the agent on this site, is AI. It explains finance in general, and it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It does not know your situation. It never tells anyone to buy, sell, hold or move any security, coin, token, fund or product, and it never predicts prices. Please do not share account numbers, passwords, seed phrases or anything private about your money with it.

Not Advice

Everything on this site, including The Money Words, is general information for learning. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell anything. Any example figure is simple arithmetic to show how something works, not a forecast. Investing and crypto carry risk, including the loss of everything put in.

Getting Advice for Yourself

For advice about your own money, look for a fiduciary adviser, someone required to act in your interest, and check them first at adviserinfo.sec.gov or brokercheck.finra.org. For your own taxes, a tax professional. For help with debt, a nonprofit credit counselor through NFCC.org.

If You Have Been Scammed

Stop sending money. Call your bank or card company using the number on the back of your card. Report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, and for online or crypto fraud at ic3.gov. Anyone who asks for a fee to recover lost money is very likely running a second scam.

If you are in danger, call 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988. If gambling or trading feels out of control, call 1-800-GAMBLER.

We Never Ask for Your Keys

Demofida will never ask for a seed phrase, private key, password, one-time code or account number, by chat, email, phone or any other way. Anyone who does, using our name or any other, is not us.
